I found the pre-writing activity to be somewhat helpful in starting my Big Data paper. I did two different pieces of pre-writing. The one that I used to put links to possible sources I found made the process of integrating sources more efficient because I had already found possible sources. Though I did not end up using these sources, they lead me in the right direction and helped me better develop my thoughts.

The recursive process for the Big Data paper was, understandably, more extensive than previous pieces. My first draft was not very solid or clear, thus I used my peers’ comments to develop more sound and concise claims. I read the SASC handout for introductions to construct a more in depth ad clear start to my paper. Going off feedback from Professor Gennaco I altered my thesis to take a more solid stance on the issue. Finally, in the local level of revision I read my paper out loud and searched for the “there is/are” of my paper. All these different elements of my recursive process I found was helpful in finalizing my paper.
